Our booking policy

You can make reservations through our online system for up to six guests or by emailing us on info@aubergine.co.za for larger parties.

Outside Seating
Our outside terrace is open for lunch and dinner. Note, you can only book outside area online for lunch, not dinner. Simply add a special request to your reservation and ask to be seated outside. Weather permitting, we will be more then happy to have you enjoy your meal on the terrace.

Deposits
We require a deposit of R400 pp to secure dinner bookings for 3+ guests and R500 pp for 10-18 guests. Please take note of our cancellation policy so we can refund your deposit in case of changes. Reservations for 1-3 guests will be re-confirmed on the day – please ensure that we’re able to reach you as reservations that are not reconfirmed, cannot be guaranteed.

Reservation Changes & Cancellation Policy
A decrease in numbers will not affect your deposit if made before 10h00 on the day of your reservation, but thereafter the deposit for non-arrivals will be forfeited. Numbers may be increased subject to availability.

You will receive a refund (less 5%  for accumulated bank charges) should you cancel or change your reservation
– up to 24 hours prior to the start of your booking for reservations of 3 to 9 guests,
– up to 48 hours prior to the start of your booking for reservations of 10 to 18 guests

Refunds for cancellations or changes within 24 hours of your reservation will be at the sole discretion of the restaurant.

Service Charge
A discretionary 12.5% service charge is added to all tables of 6 or more guests and to bills where a voucher discount / deposit has been applied.

Children
Unfortunately no children under the age of five years are permitted in the evenings.

Dress Code
Our Dress Code is smart casual, no short trousers or t-shirts in the evenings please.

Parking:
Daytime – limited street parking is available close by, or park at the Jewish Museum Parking (a five minute walk). Parking is not always guaranteed so we recommend taking a taxi or an Uber.

Evenings – there is ample off street parking in Barnet Street and our car guard will watch your car.
